Farhan Akhtar meets Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, launches ‘My Stamp’ in memory of Rezang La War
Mumbai, Nov 12 – The makers of the 2025 war‑film 120 Bahadur, which tells the story of the legendary Battle of Rezang La, have just released a special stamp to honor the heroic soldiers of the 13th Battalion, Kumaon Regiment of the Indian Army.
Actor‑producer Farhan Akhtar shared the news on his Instagram, posting photos of the stamp‑unveiling ceremony in New Delhi. “What better way to honor the bravery and sacrifice of our martyred soldiers?” he wrote. “Today, the Indian Postal Service brought the Battle of Rezang La to life with a new stamp. Thank you, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, for joining us,” he added, overlaying a folded‑hands emoji.
The stamp was unveiled by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, joined by Postal Services Director‑General Jitendra Gupta, Radjeesh “Razy” Ghai and other officials. Farhan, film producer Ritesh Sidhwani and Amit Chandrra were also on hand to release the customised “My Stamp” on the Rezang La War Memorial. The initiative celebrates the indomitable courage of the soldiers who fought at Rezang La ahead of the 63rd anniversary of the 1962 India‑China conflict.
The Rezang La War Memorial, located in Chushul, Ladakh, stands as a solemn tribute to the 13th Battalion’s sacrifice. It reminds every generation of the bravery and self‑lessness of those men who laid down their lives in one of India’s most defining battles.
120 Bahadur follows that legacy, telling the story of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, PVC, and his men. Farhan Akhtar portrays Bhati, leading a dramatic re‑creation of their steadfast defense. The film, directed by Razy Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Amit Chandrra under Trigger Happy Studios and Excel Entertainment, will open in theaters on 21 November 2025.
