Former ‘SNL’ star Leslie Jones wants Democrats to jail ICE agents if they take back Congress after midterm elections
Former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Leslie Jones made a pretty clear call on Monday: if the Democrats come back into Congress after the mid‑term elections, she wants ICE officers arrested. She told MS NOW host Nicolle Wallace on her “The Best People” podcast that the world feels kind of flipped upside down right now.
Jones said we keep letting folks who do terrible things slip by because of free‑speech arguments, but accountability is still needed. Wallace remarked that, like gravity, wrong actions inevitably “fall” for consequences. Jones added that people can’t keep doing the wrong stuff without facing payment for it.
When Wallace asked what the end of this era might look like, Jones painted an ideal picture that hinges on a Democratic victory in the mid‑terms. She’s hoping that voters will swing so strongly that the “reckoning” she wants—meaning ICE workers ending up in jail—becomes a reality. “I need a reckoning. Because that’s, to me, the only thing that’s going to make it right,” she said.
