The Korean Cultural Centre India (KCCI) is gearing up for the fourth edition of Rang De Korea, India’s biggest Korean cultural festival. The event kicks off on Sunday, October 11, in New Delhi, drawing thousands who want a taste of all things Korean.
New Seoul Street Experience
For the first time, Rang De Korea will turn a part of Delhi into a vibrant Seoul Street. Five distinct zones will recreate Korea’s most iconic sights:
- Myeongdong – a bustling shopping street
- Bukchon Hanok Village – traditional wooden houses
- Jongno Food Alley – delicious street‑food corners
- Hangang Park – riverside recreation
- Gangneung – the spot where BTS fans gather
Visitors can stroll through each area, shop, eat, and enjoy live performances that bring Korea’s culture to life.
Live Entertainment and Fan Interaction
The festival lights up with a mix of shows. Expect Taekwondo exhibitions by Kukkiwon, modern and classic dance acts from the renowned NSU Dance Team, and high‑energy performances by K‑pop boy group Younite. Fans will also get a chance to meet Younite during a special meet‑and‑greet.
Other highlights include:
- Interactive brand showcases
- Korean fashion displays
- Immersive game zones
- Korean food tastings
A Cultural Bridge
KCCI director Hwang Il Yong shared that the Korean Wave, or Hallyu, has become mainstream among Indian youth. He said the festival series is a stepping‑stone to deepen Korea‑India cultural ties and help Korean companies broaden their reach in India.
Extension to Mumbai
The first edition of the related K‑Harmony Festa opens in Mumbai on October 12 at Jio World Drive, South Sky, partnering with the Maharashtra Tourism Department.
Mark your calendar and join Delhi’s biggest Korean cultural celebration. The festival promises a full, hands‑on experience of Korea’s music, dance, food, and style—all just a city away.
