Guru Saravanan’s Action-Packed Tamil Debut Launches with Star-Studded Pooja Ceremony

In an exciting development for Tamil cinema, director Guru Saravanan has officially kicked off production on his third directorial venture, bringing together a compelling cast and crew for what promises to be an engaging cinematic experience. The film’s launch was marked by a traditional pooja ceremony on Monday, attended by the entire cast and production team.

The project brings together two dynamic lead actors: Sathish Kumar, a versatile performer who has transitioned from supporting roles alongside major stars like Vijay and Sivakarthikeyan to establishing himself as a leading man through films such as ‘Conjuring Kannappan’ and ‘Sattam En Kaiyil’, and Aadhi Sai Kumar, the accomplished son of renowned Telugu actor Sai Kumar. For Aadhi Sai Kumar, this marks a significant milestone as he ventures into Tamil cinema for the first time, bringing with him a proven track record of over 10 successful films in the Telugu film industry where he has made his mark as an action hero.

Actor Sathish shared the excitement surrounding the project on Instagram, posting a video of the pooja ceremony along with a message that read: “Lights. Camera. The film is being produced by G. Suresh under the banner of SGS Productions, and it represents Guru Saravanan’s continued growth as a filmmaker. The director previously worked as an assistant to acclaimed filmmaker K. S. Ravikumar before making his directorial debut with ‘Koogle Kuttappa’, which was also produced by Ravikumar and featured him in the lead role.

Behind the camera, the production has assembled a formidable technical team. Cinematography will be handled by Manoj Paramahasmsa, a highly respected cinematographer who has earned accolades across Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema through his work on major films including ‘Beast’ and ‘Leo’. According to sources, the cinematographer was drawn to the project after learning about its distinctive storyline. Music composition duties have been entrusted to Ghibran, a celebrated music director known for his collaborations with veteran actor Kamal Haasan across multiple projects. Art direction will be overseen by Durairaj, whose portfolio includes work on numerous prominent Tamil films.

Production is scheduled to commence in January 2026, with the film targeting release later in the year. This ambitious project combines fresh talent with established industry veterans, setting the stage for what could be a noteworthy addition to Tamil cinema’s action-oriented offerings.
