Stephen Baldwin can’t stop raving about his daughter Hailey Bieber’s incredible business smarts. The 59-year-old actor, known for his roles in movies like The Usual Suspects, opened up on Tori Spelling’s podcast MisSPELLING this week, calling Hailey’s success with her skincare and makeup brand Rhode nothing short of amazing.
“I never talk about her, but my daughter has done the impossible, relatively,” Baldwin shared. He pointed out how, in the last decade, young entrepreneurs like Hailey are building massive empires online – sometimes in ways that feel a bit risky. “These kinds of successes are happening, and young people are making unbelievable amounts of money on the internet,” he added. “So God bless her.”
Hailey, 28, launched Rhode in 2022, and it’s exploded in popularity with its simple, glowy products like lip tints and moisturizers. The brand’s quick rise has made Hailey a go-to name in beauty trends, proving she’s got serious skills in the competitive world of celebrity beauty lines.
Baldwin shares Hailey and her older sister Alaia, 32, with his wife Kennya Baldwin. But this praise comes after some family tension. Last July, Hailey told W magazine she’s not super close to her family right now. “I’m very independent. I’m my own individual now, and I’ve built my own family,” she explained, referring to her life with husband Justin Bieber and their newborn son.
Despite the distance, Hailey looks back fondly on her childhood. “I had a fairly normal childhood,” she said, even with her famous dad in the spotlight. “I have very fond, beautiful memories. Obviously, I come from the family that I come from, and I always recognized that it was different.”
Right after that interview dropped, Baldwin posted a cryptic Instagram video. He stared straight into the camera, smirked, and simply said, “I love you,” before looking away and smirking again. Fans saw it as a sweet nod to Hailey amid the family chat.
Baldwin’s been supportive of Justin too. Back in July, as rumors about Hailey and Justin’s marriage swirled, he gushed on the Adam Carolla Show podcast about how blessed he feels. Both his daughters, he said, “married two great guys.” It seems like despite any ups and downs, the Baldwin-Bieber family bond is still strong at its core.
