Harry Potter actress Jessie Cave recently shared a surprising setback: organizers at a fan convention turned her down because of her OnlyFans account. The 38-year-old star, best known for playing Lavender Brown in the blockbuster franchise, posted about it on her Substack blog.
“They told me it’s a family show, and OnlyFans links to porn,” Cave wrote. She couldn’t wrap her head around it, pointing out that plenty of actors who attend these events have appeared in movies and TV shows with sex scenes and nudity. “I’m just playing with my hair!” she added.
Cave’s OnlyFans page zeroes in on hair fetish content, showcasing her signature long, thick blonde locks. She’s unbothered by missing out on more Harry Potter conventions, though. “I’ve done them for over 15 years and have enough photos and wizard memorabilia,” she said. With a new cast stepping up and times changing, she’s ready to move on.
The British actress burst onto the scene as Ron Weasley’s short-lived girlfriend Lavender Brown in the Warner Bros. films. Married to comedian Alfie Brown and mom to four kids, Cave launched her OnlyFans in March to help fund her writing projects.
