Filmmaker Boney Kapoor has a fun way to beat stress: dancing. He recently shared a black-and-white photo of himself grooving on his Instagram stories, captioning it, “Dance releases your stress is a fact.” It’s a simple tip that’s clearly working for him.
Boney has been nostalgic lately, posting heartfelt memories of his late wife, Bollywood icon Sridevi. Earlier this month, he uploaded an old photo of her from her late 20s, capturing her radiant smile. On September 3, he shared a snap of the two on one of their trips to the Tirupati temple, writing, “From one of our many trips to Tirupati BALAJI.” Sridevi’s sudden death in February 2018 from an accidental drowning in Dubai devastated fans across India. Thousands lined the streets for her funeral procession, mourning the loss of a superstar who lit up the silver screen for decades.
Boney also opened up about a special encounter with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On September 15, he posted on X (formerly Twitter) about their first meeting in Lucknow. In a video, Boney described how Modi stepped off stage after a big summit speech and walked right up to him, calling him by name with a warm greeting. “To my utter surprise, he approached me, called me by name and greeted me with such familiarity and respect that I was deeply moved,” Boney wrote in a long note.
He praised Modi’s humility, saying it stands out in a leader guiding over a billion people. “That simple gesture carried immense meaning. Here was the Prime Minister of India… yet he made the effort to recognize me personally,” Boney added. Calling it a perfect mix of power and simplicity, he wished Modi well as he turns 75, hoping for more years of strong leadership and personal connections with everyday folks. Boney tagged the PM’s official handles, sharing the story to highlight what makes Modi’s style so inspiring.
