In an exclusive chat with , Saba shared how working on Song of Paradise helped her grow as a musician. “Growing up, my parents exposed us to all kinds of music — folk, Indian classical, Western classical, and rock legends,” she said. “But I didn’t know much about Kashmiri music, apart from traditional instruments like the Santoor. This film was a learning experience for me. I appreciated the opportunity to explore Kashmiri music and learn about legendary artists like Raj Begum, whose music inspired my character, Zeba Akhtar.”
She also emphasized her love for all kinds of music, describing it as a universal language that doesn’t always need words to connect. Saba Azad’s role in Songs of Paradise is inspired by Kashmiri singer Raj Begum. The movie is produced by Excel Entertainment, Apple Tree Pictures, and Renzu Films.
