Los Angeles, October 6 – As artificial‑intelligence tools sweep into everyday life, actors from the new Prime Video hit Gen V – a spin‑off of The Boys – shared their first‑hand views on the technology’s reach and risks.
AI and the creative world
Lead actor Derek Luh said he sees a place for technology in many fields, but he worries that AI could replace jobs, especially in the arts. “If it starts taking people’s jobs, I don’t like that,” he told .
Jaz Sinclair also voiced caution. “AI moves too fast,” she said, urging viewers and creators to stay mindful and work collaboratively with the tech. “It’s fine for simple tasks, but the arts and film demand human touch.”
London Thor, who plays the hopeful student in the show, admitted she’s never used AI herself. “I’ve seen friends use it for silly jokes, but I don’t think it belongs in the film world,” she added. “I prefer to stick with my own skills.”
The shows’ hype and cast praise
Fans have already applauded the trio for their roles in Gen V’s second season. Critics say the characters grow as the story deepens: Jaz described Marie Moreau, her character, as moving from naïve optimism into a sharper, more skeptical survivor. Derek outlined Jordan’s journey from a confident rank‑climber to a less sure but ultimately triumphant hero, while London highlighted the “politics of ranking.”
The series follows a generation of super‑powered teens on their journey through Godolkin University—where they train to join elite superhero teams. Directed by Michele Fazekas, the drama focuses on friendship, ambition, and the moral messiness of power.
