Actor Vishal, famous for doing every stunt himself, revealed in a recent podcast promo that he has 119 stitches on his body.
The talk‑show, called Yours Frankly Vishal, launched this week and the 47‑year‑old star used it to talk about his hands‑on approach to action scenes—no body double, no CGI.
“Until now, I have never seen a dupe. Five‑minute stunts, 119 running stitches across my body,” Vishal joked, pulling a grin from his camera crew.
The actor also celebrated a milestone. On September 10th, he turned 21 years old in the Tamil film industry, the same day his debut film Chellamay hit theatres in 2004. He thanked fans, mentors such as Action King Arjun and Professor Rajanayagam from Loyola College, and every crew member who helped shape his career.
“I don’t see this as my personal success but ours,” he said. “Producers, directors, composers, technicians, co‑actors, and even distributors—thanks to all of you.”
Vishal added that his biggest supporters are his listeners and moviegoers. “My audience, from Tamil Nadu to the rest of the world, are the lifeblood of my work. Your support lifts me, no matter how many challenges come my way.”
Looking ahead, Vishal will soon tie the knot with actress Sai Dhanshika. Fans already anticipate the couple’s wedding, while they keep an eye on the new podcast series that promises more behind‑the‑scenes stories, personal anecdotes, and a peek into the actor who refuses to rely on a body double.
