Actress Indira Krishnan is making a exciting comeback to Zee TV after a long break, starring in the new drama “Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan.” She shared that she’s been picky about her roles, only choosing parts that really connect with viewers.

The show stars Shubhangi Latkar as Ganga Mai, a strong single mother who raises her three daughters with courage, respect, and kindness. It also features Sheizaan Khan, Srishti Jain, Amandeep Sidhu, and Vaishnavi Prajapati in key roles.

Indira has a special bond with Zee TV. “My journey started with ‘Manzilein Apni Apni’ and went on with ‘Afsar Bitiya.’ Returning after all this time feels like coming home,” she said.

She’s thrilled about her character, Duragawati, the tough mother of Siddhant. In a world run by men, Duragawati runs a money-lending business and earns both respect and fear from her community. She stands firm against wrongdoing, no matter if it hurts her family’s happiness. Quick-thinking and observant, she shows strength and fairness to everyone, but deep down, she’s all about supporting her loved ones.

“What pulled me into Duragawati was her depth and layers,” Indira explained. “She’s bold and righteous in a male-dominated field, yet she’s a caring mom who handles family duties with love. Playing someone this complex is a real thrill, and I can’t wait for fans to see it unfold.”

Catch “Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan,” a heartfelt Indian TV drama about family and resilience, starting September 22 on Zee TV.
