Mumbai actor-host Maniesh Paul brought some laughs to fans this week with a behind-the-scenes clip from the set of “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.” In the fun video he shared on Instagram, his co-star Janhvi Kapoor jumps behind the wheel of an auto-rickshaw, driving while Maniesh rides in the back and cracks jokes.
You can hear Maniesh teasing in the clip: “Bhai mehenga admi hun mai, riksha driver naya rakha hai maine hello sahi soch rehe ho.” It’s a playful nod to his “big shot” status and Janhvi’s new role as his driver. Maniesh captioned the reel: “Kuku ki Sawari bhi upgrade ho gayi… driver hai khud Tulsi Kumari! Hahahaha what fun we all had while shooting #ssktk @janhvikapoor ….peche wala auto @varundvn chala raha tha hahahaha #mp #film #shoot #fun #bts.”
Janhvi quickly jumped into the comments, calling herself the “Best riksha driver,” which added even more charm to the moment.
This isn’t the first glimpse of set antics from the film. Just a few days earlier, Varun Dhawan posted his own hilarious BTS video of Janhvi getting her makeup done while lounging in bed. She even strikes a pose with the hook step from their song “Bijuria.” Varun captioned it: “Meri Tulsi perfect hai,” poking fun at her lazy morning vibe with the text overlay: “When you are too lazy to do your makeup.”
“Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari” promises a feel-good Bollywood rom-com set during a vibrant Indian wedding. It stars Varun Dhawan as the cheeky Sunny, Janhvi Kapoor as the sharp Tulsi, along with Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Akshay Oberoi, and Maniesh Paul. Shashank Khaitan directs the movie, produced by Karan Johar, and it hits theaters on October 2, 2025.
