Jen Affleck is fighting a serious illness right before her “Dedication Night” on Dancing With  the  Stars. The former “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star has been in bed most of the week and hasn’t been able to practice her routine.

Her husband, Zac Affleck, posted a heartfelt TikTok asking fans to send prayers and encouragement for his wife, who is scheduled to perform on Tuesday night. “This week she’s been so sick… she hasn’t been able to practice,” Zac wrote, showing photos of Jen and his steady support.

Despite her struggles, Jen and professional partner Jan Ravnik are set to dance the Viennese Waltz to Lauren Daigle’s “Rescue.” She plans to dedicate the performance to her mother, her three children, and all mothers, according to Zac. “Anyone who knows Jen knows how amazing of a mom she is,” he added.

Her mother appears in Los Angeles to help with meals and care, and fans are flooding Zac’s TikTok with messages of hope. “We love you, Jen! Hoping you feel better soon,” one commenter wrote, while another said, “I love Jen so much! I’m praying for her.”

Jen shared recent Instagram Stories showing her receiving an IV drip and confirmed she’s not sick with COVID‑19, but her exact illness remains undisclosed. “I can’t practice as much this week. With lots of rest and help from Zac and my family, we still pulled something off,” she said.

This season marks Jen’s second year on “Dancing With the Stars.” She joined the show just two months postpartum after welcoming her third daughter, Penelope, and now mom to Nora (3) and Lucas (2). Her balancing act between a competitive dance show and the demands of a growing family has drawn admiration from fans and fellow performers alike.

“Dancing With the Stars” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC (and Disney+), with new episodes streaming on Hulu the next day. As fans rally behind Jen, the show’s broadcaster hopes her next performance will prove that the spirit of dance can overcome illness.
