Jenna Bush Hager’s morning on NBC’s Today was a mix of sleepy moments and a quirky product pitch that left her and her co‑host Savannah Guthrie a little skeptical.
The host admitted her alarm didn’t sound on Tuesday, Oct. 21, and asked herself if she’d still have time to brush her teeth before the show. “I brushed my teeth,” Jenna said, “but I didn’t use the deodorant spray the way we learned yesterday.”
That spray was introduced on Monday’s episode. Today contributor Sarah Eggenberger talked about a body‑spray deodorant that can be used all over the skin, not just in the underarms. Sarah explained that only about 10 % of sweat comes from the armpits, so you need to apply the deodorant to other sweaty areas—thighs, back, under the bust, even the feet.
Jenna was quick to disagree. “I’m not spraying deodorant under my breasts or on my feet,” she joked, matching Savannah’s reaction. The two hosts laughed about the unusual advice and how it would play out at home. Savannah added that it might be useful for her kids, but Jenna wondered how her husband would respond to a dusty foot spray.
While the segment ended on a playful note, the conversation highlighted the growing trend of all‑over body deodorants and the debate over how much and where to apply them.
The Today show continues to air weekdays at 10 am/9 am CST on NBC.
