Jennifer Aniston said she’s grown stronger and more confident about her fitness as she’s gotten older. The 56‑year‑old Hollywood star told people.com that she now “honours where her body is.” She added that learning more about the body over the years has let her become stronger than she ever imagined possible.
The actress explained how a shift in training has mattered the most. Strength training, she said, has made the biggest difference to how she looks and feels. “I used to think a workout meant you just had to sweat for an hour or 45 minutes—running, aerobics, or the treadmill. That wasn’t true,” Aniston told femalefirst.co.uk. “Now I know that building muscle and conditioning is essential.”
Aniston’s trainer shared some key lessons that helped her fine‑tune her routine, and the actress praised the importance of listening to the body instead of rushing through workouts. She said she’s now more focused on quality, not just quantity, and that’s led to real, lasting strength gains.
In the same interview, the Hollywood star opened up about her longtime struggle with auditions. “I’m always a terrible auditioner,” she admitted on The Hollywood Reporter’s Drama Actress Roundtable. “I can’t always find the magic with a stranger in a room, and that makes it hard to hit the right chemistry.”
Aniston noted that auditions don’t always reflect real chemistry because the environment is different. She also clarified that she would never do an intimate scene during a chemistry test, even if asked. “I’ve never been told I’d have to lay down or get intimate in a chemistry test. If asked, I would never,” she said, adding that her experience previously was in a Quickie service at a Bob’s Big Boy commercial before breaking into full‑time acting.
Through the talk, Jennifer Aniston’s emphasis on fit, mindful training and realistic career expectations spoke to many fans watching her grow stronger—both in body and in her chosen craft.
