John Stamos, the beloved Hollywood actor from “Full House,” has a hilarious story about his 7-year-old son Billy. The little guy is already leveraging his dad’s celebrity status to charm girls at school.
In a fun chat with E! News, the 62-year-old star revealed how Billy drops his name to impress classmates. “He said, ‘Dad, we had to write down all our things.’ The girl next to him put ‘Fuller House,'” Stamos shared. Quick as a flash, Billy chimed in, “You know, that’s my dad. My dad’s on that show. And he plays Uncle Jesse.”
Stamos laughed about it, adding, “He’s using it with the girls.” It’s clear Billy knows how to make the most of his father’s iconic role as Jesse Katsopolis from the ABC sitcom and its Netflix revival.
But Billy isn’t all admiration—he’s also his dad’s toughest critic. According to reports from Female First UK, the young Stamos watches “Full House” episodes just to tease his father. When Stamos tells him to tidy up his Legos, Billy fires back with Michelle Tanner’s famous line, “You got it, dude”—delivered by the Olsen twins in the show.
“He’s pulling catchphrases on me, but mocking,” Stamos quipped. “Not like it’s cool or anything.”
Billy’s critiques don’t stop there. As Stamos prepares to play Lock in an upcoming “Nightmare Before Christmas” concert at the Hollywood Bowl, his son has been full of advice. While practicing lyrics, Billy suggested, “Dad, put an image with it.” During a car sing-along, he even told his dad to switch to a “higher, more charactery voice.”
Stamos and his wife, actress Caitlin McHugh, share Billy, who’s turning into quite the family entertainer with his sharp wit and showbiz savvy.
