Actress Kajol kicked off the wishes by sharing a fun throwback photo on Instagram from 2014. The snap features Kajol, her ‘Hamesha’ co-star Saif Ali Khan, and the legendary singer Asha Bhosle, all smiling at the camera during the inauguration of HN Reliance Hospital.
Kajol’s caption added a playful touch: “#Throwback to this night 2014 October at the HN Reliance hospital inauguration! And guess who is still looking as good and working and performing at 92? Asha Bhosle’s incredible journey in Indian music started early. She began singing alongside her sister Lata Mangeshkar to support their family. Her first film song came in 1943 – “Chala Chala Nav Bala” for the Marathi movie “Majha Bal,” composed by Datta Davjekar. In 1948, she entered Hindi cinema with “Saawan Aaya” in the film “Chunariya,” scored by Hansraj Behl.
Over the decades, Asha Bhosle delivered countless hit songs that still top Bollywood playlists today. At 79, she stepped into acting with the film “Mai,” playing a 65-year-old mother battling Alzheimer’s disease after her children abandon her.
