He noted that most stars have slipped into being just a fleeting Instagram reel, a clickbait headline, or a snapshot captured by a paparazzi. “It’s time to switch our focus from the smartphone to the screen that truly counts – the silver screen,” he said.
On Instagram Stories, he teased future projects with the lines, “Are we reduced to a reel? Are we just a click‑bait headline? Are we just a paparazzi spotting? Are we all complicit??? Yes we are ! Let’s make movies… let’s tell stories…let’s go back to the only screen that matters! The silver screen! The smart phone screen can wait…” (sic).
“Kinda a midnight musing… done while feeling nauseous from doom scrolling,” he added later.
Ironically, Karan is one of the most social‑media‑active filmmakers and loves updating his InstaFam with every detail of his life.
On Sunday, he revealed a new source of affection via social media. In a playful post, he called ChatGPT his “new lover.” He admitted he was initially hesitant about using AI, but now he’s grown fond of it, hoping it’s not just “ek tarfa pyar.”
“Chat GPT is my new lover… I took a while to warm up to this force… now I am in love! Deeply… I hope it’s not ek tarfa pyar. I want chat GPT to love me back….” KJo wrote.
