Mumbai, Dec 27 (IANS) – Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor paid tribute to the legendary actor Salman Khan on his 60th birthday, joining a growing list of celebrities who congratulated him.
She posted a nostalgic picture of Khan on her Instagram Stories and added the note, “Happy Birthday to the one and only Tiger (red heart emoji) 60 years and Strong…Love you lots always (red heart and stars emojis) @beingsalmanKhan. (sic).”
Kareena and Salman have shared the screen several times, delighting fans whenever the pair appears together. Their first collaboration was the 2005 film Kyon Ki, directed by Priyadarshan and featuring veterans like Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Rimi Sen, and Om Puri.
They reunited a few years later for Main Aurr Mrs Khanna (2009), a romantic drama that followed a separated couple working to find their way back to one another.
In 2011 the pair starred in the blockbuster Bodyguard, where Salman played a protective bodyguard for Kareena’s college‑girl character named Divya.
Kareena later made a cameo in the upbeat number “Fevicol Se” from Salman’s Dabangg 2 (2012), a track that quickly became a chart‑topper.
Their most recent joint appearance was in 2015’s heart‑warming hit Bajrangi Bhaijaan, helmed by Kabir Khan and warmly received by audiences.
Salman celebrated his milestone birthday at his Panvel farmhouse, surrounded by family and close friends. The event was a star‑studded affair, with attendees including Sanjay Dutt, Karisma Kohli, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Genelia Deshmukh, Rakul Preet Singh, Huma Qureshi, MS Dhoni, Sangeeta Bijlani, Mika Singh, Maniesh Paul, Pragya Jaiswal, Zeeshan Siddiqui, Rahul Kanwal, and many others.
