Mumbai – Actor Kartik Aaryan celebrated a major milestone in his career by taking home the Filmfare Best Actor Award on the night of October 13 in Mumbai. The win was made extra special when both of his parents joined him to applaud his achievement in person.
After the ceremony, Kartik shared a short video on Instagram of the moment he received his first Filmfare award. In the clip, he says, “It feels different when you remember where you started. That night, every emotion I’d ever felt found its voice.” He added that the speech he gave was impromptu – “It wasn’t prepared. It was live.”
Aaryan’s excitement grew as he recalled his early dreams. He talked about the influence of director Kabir Khan and the inspiration he drew from the story of Murlikant Petkar, an athlete who never gave up on his hopes. “When others stopped believing in him, it felt personal,” he said. He credits a two‑year partnership with Kabir and the support of co‑stars Sajid Siddiqui and Vardha for turning the film into a success. The film, Chandu Champion, earned Kartik his first major industry award.
Standing on the stage, Kartik’s parents reached across the spotlight to shake his hand. He paused, eyes moist: “Seeing this in the presence of my parents makes the moment even sweeter. We’ve watched so many movies under our TV, dreaming of this trophy. Now it’s real.” The actor thanked Filmfare and his fans, calling them his “godfathers” for their love and support.
He concluded with a message to aspiring artists: “If you dream of a breakthrough, keep going. Even if the champion falls, never stop fighting.”
