Chennai – The much‑anticipated Tamil action movie “Mask” is set to hit theaters worldwide on November 21, according to the film’s makers.
Director Vikarnan Ashok confirmed the release date during a press brief on Friday.
The film stars actor Kavin in the lead role. Kavin celebrated the announcement on X (formerly Twitter) with the message, “November 21 Unmasking #Mask” and added “Team Mask.”
Actress‑producer Andrea Jeremiah, who is not only starring but also producing the film, took to her X timeline to build excitement. She wrote, “The wait is almost over… Mark your calendars! November 21 #Mask.” Sources say Andrea will play the villain in the movie, a role she previously took on in Vetrimaran’s “Vada Chennai.”
“Mask” is described as Kavin’s first explosive action entertainer. The posters use the phrase “Vaathiyaaraga Vetrimaran,” sparking speculation that the director might act as a teacher. The first single released by the team clarified that Vetrimaran is actually serving as a mentor behind the scenes.
Music for the film is composed by National Award‑winning G V Prakash. Cinematography is handled by award‑winning R D Rajashekar, while editing is done by Ramar. Art direction comes from Jacki and Vijay Iyyappan.
“Mask” is co‑produced by Andrea Jeremiah and S P Chockalingam and will be presented by Vipramaran’s Grassroot Film Company.
