Kevin Federline says that in his new memoir, You Thought You Knew, his former wife, pop‑star Britney Spears, mistreated their two boys. He claims that Spears verbally abused and physically hurt their sons, Sean Preston (20) and Jayden James (19).
Federline says the singer once punched Sean when he was 10 or 11. He also writes that Spears forced Sean to bathe with her, fed the boys shellfish even though they were allergic, and ignored Jayden’s serious allergies.
The book further alleges that Spears left Jayden in diapers after he was potty‑trained and woke him up at night to stay in her room. According to Federline, she even put a diaper on Jayden who had not worn one in over a year.
In one incident, Federline says Spears barged into his home while he was away. He describes her in “corset top and Daisy Dukes, with a ripped shirt revealing a single purple diaper.” The boy was left alone in a movie room until a nanny confronted the singer.
Federline also says that after the family moved to Hawaii, the kids stopped wanting to visit Spears. He claims Jayden was hospitalized in Louisiana, but the family was told it was an allergy reaction while, in fact, the boy supposedly took medicine.
He goes on to say that Spears might have spoken about how she wished they all were dead, adding that the trauma would stay with the boys.
Spears’ representatives said the memoir is a “profit‑driven attack” and that the allegations have no basis. “All she cares about are her kids … and their well‑being during this sensationalism,” they wrote on Wednesday.
Spears herself has taken to X (formerly Twitter) to call the book a pile of “white lies.” She slammed Federline’s “constant gaslighting” and warned people he was “convincing” and “extremely hurtful.”
The allegations have reignited a long‑running feud that began when the couple divorced in 2007. As the story powers through social media and news outlets, many fans and observers wonder whether the claims will affect how Spears is seen by the public and whether additional evidence will come to light.
