Kim Kardashian recently spilled a hilarious story about her mom Kris Jenner’s sneaky matchmaking attempt. The reality star dished on how the 69-year-old Kris tricked her into a blind date by calling it a job interview.

This all went down before the Kardashian family’s hit show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” even premiered. Kim shared the tale during a fun chat on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” She explained that the guy was a big-shot TV executive.

“I thought it was legit a job interview, so I showed up with my resume, ready to talk about what I wanted to do in the industry,” Kim said. But Kris had told the guy it was a date. Jimmy Fallon cracked up, hiding his face in his hands as Kim kept going.

Kim admitted she didn’t expect to be so prepared. Just five minutes in, she caught on to the setup. “I shoved that resume back in my purse and thought, ‘I’m going to kill you,'” she said, glancing at Kris, who was right there in the audience.

Fallon asked if there was any spark. “No chemistry at all,” Kim replied. She figured the guy didn’t even realize the mix-up until years later.

When Fallon turned to Kris for her side, she jumped in with a grin. “He totally knew—he’s an Emmy Award winner, after all.” Kim tried to hush her: “Mom, can you stop?” But Kris added, “He even asked if it would help if he brought his Emmy to impress her.”

Kim’s sister Khloe, sitting next to Kris, just rolled her eyes and made a face, adding to the family’s classic banter. It’s these lighthearted family moments that keep fans hooked on the Kardashians’ world.
