Kratika Sengar wishes late FIL Pankaj Dheer on his birth anniversary with a heartfelt wish

Mumbai, Nov 10 – TV star Kratika Sengar paid tribute to her late father‑in‑law, actor Pankaj Dheer, on his birthday. She posted a photo of a framed picture of Dheer, draped with a garland, surrounded by white flowers and candles on a bright red backdrop. In the caption she wrote, “Your love lives on, Dad. Happy heavenly birthday…!!!” and added pink heart and flower emojis.
Dheer passed away on Oct 15, just days before Diwali. Kratika had already shared how hard the festival felt without him, posting a Diwali diya with the note, “Only when you lose someone you love do you realise how heavy the festivals can feel.”
The veteran actor had been battling cancer and had undergone surgery earlier this year. The Indian film and television community gathered in Mumbai on Oct 17 for a prayer meeting in his memory. Film makers and actors such as Rohit Shetty, Sharad Saxena, Suresh Oberoi, Isha Deol, Zayed Khan, Tanvi Azmi, Mohit Raina, Aditya Pancholi, Mukesh Rishi, Puneet Issar, Ashok Pandit and Mukesh Khanna joined to honour his legacy.
Pankaj Dheer is best remembered for playing Karna in B. R. Chopra’s classic TV series Mahabharat. Over his four‑decade career, he also appeared in shows like Chandrakanta, Bado Bahu and Sasural Simar Ka, and movies such as Baadshah, Soldier and Zameen. He is survived by his wife Anita, son Niketan — known for his role in Chennai Express — daughter‑in‑law Kratika and granddaughter Devika.
The actor’s passing has left a void in the industry and in the hearts of fans who admired his versatile talent.
