The night also raised hopes that Kriti and Varun will reunite on screen in the upcoming sequel, “Bhediya 2”. On Saturday, Kriti celebrated a milestone in her filmmaking journey – the one‑year anniversary of her first production, “Do Patti”. A film that I’ll always be proud of…my first production.” The film, directed by newcomer Shashanka Chaturvedi and written by Kanika Dhillon, tells the story of a police officer who gets involved in a complex case involving a jealous twin sister. In a first for the actress, Kriti also played both twin roles of Saumya and Shailee. “Do Patti” featured powerhouse Kajol in a key role and sparked the Bollywood debut of TV actor Shaheer Sheikh.
The film’s release marked a big step for Blue Butterfly Films, Kriti’s own production house, and her continued presence as both a star and a producer in the Indian film industry.
