Mumbai, Nov 24 (LatestNewsX) – Bollywood actors Kriti Sanon and Sidharth Malhotra posted on their personal socials to express their profound grief at the death of the legendary film star Dharmendra.
At the start of her post, Kriti attached a still from Teri Baaton Mein Uljha Jiya and wrote, “It’s the end of an era! But you’ll stay alive not only in all the incredible work you’ve done Dharam Ji… but also in the warmth and kindness you carried in your aura. Your smile, your warmth, your zest for life and poetry, and the love with which you put a hand on my head and blessed me every time I interacted with you… I’ll carry it in my heart forever. Rest in peace, Legend!!” She finished with the folding‑hands emoticon.
Sidharth Malhotra followed suit, sharing a photo of the veteran and adding, “Years of memories and magic, on and off screen… thank you for everything, Dharam sir. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Om Shanti.”
Later that afternoon, close friends Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan arrived at Pawan Hans crematorium in heavy police escort to pay their respects to Dharmendra. The cars of the four stars parked close to the site as they came out to pay final homage.
Dharmendra’s immediate family—wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol—also joined the gathering, laying flowers and standing together in front of the crowds outside the crematorium. For those who may not know, the seasoned actor died on Monday at the age of 89. He had been hospitalized at Breach Candy Hospital earlier in mid‑November but was discharged after showing signs of recovery.
Dharmendra is survived by his first wife Prakash Kaur, their four children Sunny, Bobby, Ajeta and Vijayta Deol, as well as his second wife Hema Malini and their daughters Esha and Ahana.
