Mumbai, Oct 26 – Comedian and actor Krushna Abhishek stepped onto the bright set of Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 (KBC 17) this week, sharing the stage with fellow comic Sunil Grover and the legendary host Amitabh Bachchan.
During the episode, the “Laughter Chefs” contestant wowed the crowd by singing “Khaike Paan Banaras Wala” from the classic film Don. Krushna said the moment felt like winning 100 crore rupees – a playful nod to the huge prize money in the game. He playfully explained that the song was a childhood favourite and that performing it for Bachchan was a dream come true.
On Instagram, Krushna captured the excitement with a caption that read:
“Today I won 100 crore. The song I used to dance to as a kid – I chose it to perform in front of Bachchan Sahib. People win 7 crore on KBC, I earned 100 crore.”
He also posted a photo with Bachchan and Sunil, adding a heartfelt tribute. “The man who inspires us all says we learn by watching,” he wrote. “I’m truly privileged to share the stage with you guys. Had a blast shooting this episode with @amitabhbachchan – do watch it this week. Love you @whosunilgrover.”
During a brief interview, Krushna revealed the story behind his name change. His parents originally named him Abhishek after Amitabh’s son, but as he entered the film industry they suggested a change because of the star power already attached to that name. A devout Krishna devotee, his father renamed him Krushna, combining the old‑fashioned spelling with his own brand.
Fans of the show can catch Krushna’s performance and his chat with Amitabh Bachchan on the KBC 17 episode airing soon. The episode promises a mix of comedy, music, and the iconic trivia that makes Kaun Banega Crorepati a household staple.
