Actress Shagun Sharma, who plays Paridhi in the hit TV serial “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2,” posted a fun behind‑the‑scenes photo on social media. She shared a candid snap of herself with co‑star Smriti Irani, laughing and posing for the camera. In the caption, Sharma said, “Because we do get along. The joy of asking silly questions, believing it’s a good one, feels unreal,” and tagged Irani in the post.

The two stars look very friendly off‑screen, yet their characters clash on‑screen. Smriti Irani returns as Tulsi, a strong, justice‑seeking matriarch, while Shagun Sharma’s Paridhi is positioned as the new villain. Paridhi often manipulates and emotionally blackmails her father, Mihir Virani, played by Amar Upadhyay, and turns against Tulsi, creating tense drama for the Virani family.

The storyline is currently centered on Tulsi’s struggle to balance her role as a loving mother with her sense of justice. The show roars back to life with a powerful ensemble that includes Smriti Rani, Shagun Sharma, Amar Upadhyay, Ketki Dave, Komolika Guhathakurta, and other leads who are bringing fresh life to the Virani household.

“Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” relaunched a few months ago and instantly won viewers, climbing the TRP charts and re‑establishing the franchise as one of India’s most beloved family dramas. For Smriti Irani, the comeback is notable after nearly twenty years away from television. After the original series ended in 2008, Irani left the screen to build a political career and became one of the country’s prominent leaders. Now, she balances her political duties with a triumphant return to TV, giving audiences another reason to tune in.
