In Chennai on November 19, director Vignesh Shivan took to Instagram to share a heartfelt birthday message for his wife, star Nayanthara. He wrote, “Happy birthday my love, I love you truly, madly, deeply.” The post was filled with gratitude and affection, thanking the universe and God for “abundant love, unwavering positivity and pure goodwill.”
A week earlier, the couple had visited the Kukke Subrahmanya Swamy temple in Karnataka to pray, the same temple where Telugu filmmaker Sampath Nandi had blessed Nayanthara’s birthday earlier that year.
Shivan’s Instagram post also touched on his film career. He reminded fans that his upcoming movie, Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty, had faced several release date changes – moving from October 17 to December 18 to avoid clashing with Ranganathan’s film Dude. He reflected on how, despite the delays, he has learned that happiness isn’t tied only to big milestones.
The director celebrated the 10‑year anniversary of his hit Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, noting how time has brought many miracles into his life. He said he always hoped that LIK would reach “all your hearts” and that the film’s true reward would be the simple joys of family, laughter, and love.
Shivan finished his message with a reminder that “you don’t have to win to be happy” and that faith and gratitude can turn everyday moments into blessings. The post resonated with fans, showing a side of the filmmaker that goes beyond studio releases and box‑office numbers.
