In Mumbai on November 6, actress Lucky Mehta marked a milestone for the revival of India’s famous soap opera “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2.” The 100‑episode mark is a proud moment for Mehta and fans who have watched her character, Suchitra, grow over the past few months.

Lucky explains that playing Suchitra in the new season is special because the character feels “real and relatable.” “People connect with Suchitra like they know her personally,” she says. “She’s protective, emotional, strong and layered—just the kind of role that lets me explore different emotions.”

She praised Ekta Kapoor and Balaji Telefilms for giving her character depth. “Ekta ma’am and the team have crafted Suchitra with real relevance,” Mehta told reporters. “When viewers call me ‘Suchu’ off‑screen or discuss her scenes, it’s rewarding to know the work resonates.”

“Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2” revives the original series that first aired in 2000. The original show, made by Balaji Telefilms, ran for almost eight years and shaped the daily lives of millions of viewers. The new series follows the Virani family and centers on Tulsi Virani, played by Smriti Irani, as she navigates family politics, loyalty, and love. The drama blends traditional Indian values with high‑intensity twists that keep audiences hooked.

With 100 episodes behind it, the remake continues the legacy of the original hit, blending nostalgia with fresh storytelling for a new generation of viewers. The show remains a key part of Indian pop culture, sparking conversations about family dynamics, women’s roles, and moral dilemmas.
