He described "Kadhal Rojaave" from Mani Ratnam’s classic film Roja as a poetic cry of love that tugs at the soul. "Vannam Konda Vennilave" represents the non-dual essence of romance, blending hearts seamlessly. "Panivizhum Malarvanam" stands out as a sculptural masterpiece of passion, full of artistic romance. Finally, "Kadhalé En Kadhalé" celebrates the beauty in defeat, turning heartbreak into something profound.
Vairamuthu beautifully summed up SPB’s magic: In every song, the singer melted the inner actor, shaping it with raw emotion and painting it vividly. When SPB arrived on the scene, film songs bloomed like flowers. Now, with his departure, they stand draped in white, a symbol of quiet mourning.
SPB’s death anniversary isn’t just Vairamuthu’s moment to remember. Tamil cinema veteran actress Simran also took to X to pay her respects.
