Mahesh Babu tells ‘Varanasi’ producer S S Karthikeya: Amazed to see you hold the toughest pieces together with ease
In Hyderabad, Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu sent a birthday wish to one of the producers behind his new film Varanasi, S S Karthikeya, on Saturday. He praised the producer for his knack for keeping even the most demanding tasks running smoothly.
On his X timeline, Mahesh Babu wrote:
“The silent man behind everything we build…..Happy Birthday Karth.. Always amazed to see you hold the toughest pieces together with ease…. Wishing you a great year onwards and upwards. @ssk1122”
Less than a week ago, the title announcement for Varanasi turned into a standout success. The film, previously known as GlobeTrotter, was unveiled at a lavish ceremony held at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Thousands of enthusiastic fans lined up, making it one of the largest live fan gatherings in Indian entertainment history.
The event featured a colossal stage—100 feet tall and 130 feet wide—complete with a gigantic screen. S S Karthikeya shared a video on X of fans excitedly filming the title teaser with their phones. He added:
“Tried something new for the first time so that no one who turned up to the event would be disappointed with the view or the traffic and I hope we pulled it off. As I said, the farther you stood, the better it got! Loved seeing this video. Shot it from almost the very end.”
Those who haven’t yet heard, the film’s makers have revealed the roles and looks of the key cast. Mahesh Babu appears as Rudhra, Prithviraj plays the villain Kumbha, and Priyanka Chopra portrays Mandakini.
