In Chennai on Saturday, the team behind Rahul Sadasivan’s upcoming horror‑thriller Dies Irae asked fans not to create or share any unofficial posters. The makers said the hand‑drawn images change the film’s intended vibe. All official artwork is on the production house All Night Shifts’ social media pages.
Dies Irae already cleared the Censor Board with an “A” rating and is set to hit cinemas worldwide on 31 October, just in time for Halloween. The movie stars Pranav Mohanlal as a young man whose family is rumored to be cursed. The trailer shows a tense conversation between an elderly woman and a man who can’t speak about the strange things happening to the boy. The film promises a mix of family drama and supernatural suspense.
The film was initially tagged #NSS2 before getting the final title. All Night Shifts, which also produced the Malayalam cult classic Brammayugam, is proud to collaborate with director Rahul Sadasivan, who stepped up as writer and director for this new project. Brammayugam starred Mammootty, and its success helped set the stage for Dies Irae.
Production wrapped up quickly—shooting began last week of March in Vadakara, Calicut, and finished by April, beating a planned 40‑day schedule. The same crew returned: cameraman Shehnad Jalal, art director Jothish Shankar, and editor Shafique Mohammed Ali, all of whom worked on Brammayugam.
Fans are eager to see how Dies Irae will deliver chills and drama on the big screen, and the makers encourage people to stick to official channels for authentic images and updates.
