Mouni Roy reveals her new passion for knitting

Mumbai, Nov. 16 – Bollywood star Mouni Roy surprised fans by sharing that she’s taken up knitting. On her Instagram, the “Gold” actress posted a few snaps of her new hobby, calling it a relaxing way to get creative. One photo shows her with close friends Disha Patani and Krishna Shroff, and another captures a quiet moment with Shaheer Sheikh. In solo shots, she’s seen reading, while she writes casually, “Apparently I knit now. What about you? #sweetnovember.”

Roy’s television roots trace back to 2005 when she first appeared as Krishna Tulsi in the hit drama “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.” She later starred in the supernatural hit “Naagin” and built a strong TV fan base. Her Bollywood debut came with “Gold” opposite Akshay Kumar, followed by roles in “Made in China” and “Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva.”

She’s currently busy prepping for a new film, “The Wives,” directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. In the movie, Roy plays one of several women whose lives on and off the silver screen are explored. The cast also includes Sonali Kulkarni, Arjan Bajwa, and Freddy Daruwala. Bhandarkar and the cast are set to uncover the glamorous yet gritty side of Bollywood’s leading ladies.

In July, Roy posted a behind‑the‑scenes picture with Bhandarkar, saying, “Day 1 on this new film. I’m truly excited and grateful to be creating with the maestro himself.” She added a hopeful tone about the journey ahead.

Fans can check her Instagram for more about her knitting adventures and updates on “The Wives.”
