Mumbai, Oct 24 – Bollywood star Neil Nitin Mukesh surprised fans this week with a heartfelt piano version of the classic 1993 song “Tere Dar Par Sanam.” The track, originally sung by Kumar Sanu for the film Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee, still rings true for audiences today.

Neil posted a short clip on Instagram, where he is dressed in all‑black and a baseball cap, playing the piano in a relaxed setting. “Some tunes don’t fade. Their magic continues to whisper as they haunt beautifully,” he wrote in the caption. Fans and family poured their love into the comments, including his father, veteran singer Nitin Mukesh. “Dearest Neil beta… you never cease to amaze me. How beautiful is this?? You truly are a born artist. So proud of you,” the senior star praised.

The original film Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee tells a bittersweet love story directed by Mahesh Bhatt. It follows Rahul’s romance with Pooja, a woman struggling with mental instability, whose tragic end in an asylum leaves him haunted by memories. The 1993 soundtrack helped cement the movie’s emotional impact.

Meanwhile, Neil’s latest project, Ek Chatur, is a black‑comedy thriller written by Himanshu Tripathi and directed by Umesh Shukla. The film follows a charming, sharp‑witted woman—played by Divya Khosla Kumar—who uses her wit to navigate a small‑town India setting. When she lands a lucrative opportunity, she dives in head first, only to find herself outsmarted by twists and darkly humorous turns.

In a separate Instagram story, Nitin Mukesh shared a sweet moment with his granddaughter Nurvi. He posted a photo of her wearing traditional Indian wear, arranging small clay diyas on the floor for a Gharonda Poojan ceremony. “DADUN’S ‘LAADKI’ DARLING NURVI, DOING GHARONDA POOJAN,” he captioned the image, proudly displaying his family’s domestic culture.

Neil’s piano rendition and the warmth of his family’s online posts remind fans that music and love keep echoing through Bollywood’s vibrant community.
