Orry shares how his outfit on Interrogation Day in Rs 252 crore drug scandal reflected his honesty
Mumbai, Nov 30 (LatestNewsX) – Bollywood socialite and social‑media influencer Orry, born Orhan Awatramani, shed light on the outfit he picked for his interrogation in the Rs 252 crore drug case.
In a statement to LatestNewsX, he said the choice reflected his honesty and integrity. Orry explained that he intended the look to signal transparency and sincerity during the intense questioning. “The outfit I wore is a reflection of my honesty in the interrogation. Fully nude and transparent. I wore a Kala Dhaga too sent by my Guru,” he added.
He recalled that after his stint on Bigg Boss, Salman Khan warned him that he’d never reach that level of fame again, urging him to keep calm when the spotlight faded. “Don’t go crazy for attention. Don’t do crazy things. Be graceful,” Orry remembered. “But when this news broke, I got a taste of that fame again – even if it’s for wrong and untrue reasons.”
On November 28, Orry appeared before the Mumbai Police over the Rs 252 crore mephedrone seizure. He went to the Anti‑Narcotics Cell (ANC) office in Ghatkopar to record his statement, following two notices issued after his name emerged during the interrogation of drug trafficker Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh.
The seizure dates back to March 2024, when a mephedrone production unit was busted in Sangli, Maharashtra, yielding more than 126 kg of the drug, worth roughly Rs 252 crore.
This is Orry’s second run‑into‑the‑spotlight over drug‑related disputes. Previously, he and seven others were booked by the Jammu and Kashmir Police for allegedly having alcohol at a hotel in Katra, near the Vaishno Devi shrine, breaching local bans on liquor and non‑vegetarian food. An FIR was filed for violating rules and offending religious sentiments.
