Mumbai, September 3 — Popular Indian actress Shefali Jariwala, who became famous for her hit song ‘Kaanta Laga’, passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 42. She was rushed to the hospital after being found unresponsive, but despite efforts, doctors declared her dead on arrival.

Shefali’s sudden death shocked her fans and the entertainment industry. She made a big splash in the early 2000s with her energetic appearance in the remixed ‘Kaanta Laga’ music video, which made her a household name. She also acted in Salman Khan’s film ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ and starred in the 2019 web series ‘Baby Come Naa’. Besides movies and TV, Shefali participated in popular dance shows like ‘Boogie Woogie’ and ‘Nach Baliye’. She even appeared in ‘Bigg Boss 13’ alongside her dear friend and ex-boyfriend Sidharth Shukla, who sadly died in similar circumstances.

Following her passing, her husband Parag Tyagi announced the launch of the Shefali Jariwala Rise Foundation on August 19, dedicated to her memory and her passion for helping underprivileged children. Parag shared that his social media platforms, including Instagram and YouTube, will now focus on Shefali’s foundation. He also revealed that all earnings from these channels will go directly to support her charitable work.

Parag shared the exciting news on Instagram: “Coming very soon with Pari’s channel on YouTube. My Instagram and YouTube are dedicated to her and her foundation #shefalijariwalarisefoundation. Any promotion and income from these will go straight to her foundation.” He added, “We are overwhelmed by your love and blessings. Keep supporting us so we can fulfill her dream. Love from me, Pari, and Simba.”

He posted a heartfelt video celebrating the foundation’s efforts to help children. Parag also expressed gratitude and asked everyone to keep praying and loving for them, so they can continue Shefali’s mission to assist underprivileged kids.

Shefali Jariwala’s legacy continues through her foundation, which aims to provide better education and welfare for children in need. Fans and supporters are encouraged to stay tuned for her upcoming YouTube channel and help keep her memory alive by supporting her cause.
