Exciting Update from Dhanush’s ‘Idly Kadai’: Parthiepan Joins as Cop Arivu

Fans of Tamil cinema are buzzing with excitement over Dhanush’s directorial debut, the action-packed entertainer ‘Idly Kadai’. On Tuesday, the makers dropped a thrilling reveal: veteran actor Parthiepan steps into the role of a tough cop named Arivu in the film.

Wunderbar Films, Dhanush’s own production house teaming up with Dawn Pictures, shared the news on X (formerly Twitter). They posted, "The cop in the frame. Introducing @rparthiepan as ARIVU. #IdliKadai – Worldwide Theatrical release on October 1st. Get set for the audio launch on 14th September. #IdlikadaiCharacterIntroduction." Dhanush himself hyped it up with a tweet: "The mischievous @rparthiepan sir as Arivu – #IdliKadai."

This comes after the team already unveiled other big names in the cast. Rajkiran plays Sivanesan, Sathyaraj takes on Vishnu Vardhan, and Arun Vijay portrays Ashwin. If you’re new to the buzz, ‘Idly Kadai’ stars Dhanush and Nithya Menen in the lead roles, with Shalini Pandey confirmed for a key part—just like the rumors suggested.

The shooting wrapped up recently in style. The entire cast headed to Bangkok to film a major sequence, marking the end of production. Dawn Pictures announced the wrap on X, saying, "It’s time to call it a WRAP for #IdlyKadai. See you in theatres on the 1st of October. Exciting updates soon."

Originally, the makers planned a worldwide release on April 10 this year, but they smartly pushed it to October 1 for the perfect timing. Sources close to the project hint that Arun Vijay shines as the antagonist, setting up an epic showdown with Dhanush that promises high-octane action.

Directed and produced by Dhanush under Wunderbar Films alongside Dawn Pictures, ‘Idly Kadai’ boasts stunning visuals by cinematographer Kiran Koushik and a rocking soundtrack from G V Prakash Kumar. With the audio launch set for September 14, Tamil movie fans can’t wait to dive into this idli-inspired thriller. Stay tuned for more ‘Idly Kadai’ updates!
