Paul Arthurs, the guitarist who helped launch Oasis in the UK, said he will pause the band’s reunion tour after a prostate cancer diagnosis. The announcement came from his Instagram page, where he thanked fans and explained that he is responding well to treatment but needs to focus on his health.
Arthurs shared that he will miss the upcoming concerts in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney. “I’m sad to skip these shows but I’m feeling good and will return for the South America dates in November,” he wrote. Fans were encouraged to enjoy the remaining performances and see him back onstage soon.
The Oasis Live 25 World Tour kicked off in Cardiff on July 4, and after Arthurs’ break the band resumes in Buenos Aires on Nov. 15‑16. The tour has drawn huge excitement since Liam and Noel Gallagher confirmed their reunion last August, ending years of public feuds.
With his diagnosis, Arthurs remains hopeful. He said he will continue treatment and look forward to rejoining the group for the upcoming gigs. He thanked followers for their support and promised to keep them updated on his health journey.
