Fans of Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan are buzzing with excitement after the makers of his upcoming action thriller ‘They Call Him OG’ dropped the highly anticipated track ‘Washi Yo Washi’. Released on Friday, this special song features Pawan Kalyan’s own voice, turning it into a fan favorite right from the start.

DVV Entertainment, the powerhouse production house behind the film, shared the news on social media with a fun caption: “His voice. Our celebration. Have a blasting experience.” The track feels more like a poetic Haiku than a traditional song, composed by acclaimed music director Thaman. In it, Pawan Kalyan’s character delivers a intense message to the villain Omi, explaining step-by-step how he’ll take him down—just like hunting a wild eagle.

Pawan Kalyan recites the Haiku in Japanese, starting with “Washi Yo Washi” (Eagle oh eagle). He describes the hunt: First, cut the wings to bring it crashing to the ground. Then, pluck out the eyes to blind it, chop the legs to stop it from moving, and finally, rip out its wild heart. It’s a chilling preview of the epic showdown fans can expect in ‘They Call Him OG’.

This song release comes on the heels of a teaser glimpse that already had everyone talking. Dropped on Pawan Kalyan’s birthday, it showed the antagonist—played by Emraan Hashmi—writing a taunting letter to OG: “Dear OG, Expecting to meet you, to talk to you and to kill you, your OMI. Happy birthday OG.” The clip ramps up the tension with brutal action scenes, including the villain swinging a baseball bat at his victims. It ends with Pawan Kalyan gripping a Japanese Katana sword, hinting at non-stop thrills and a fierce battle ahead. No wonder Pawan Kalyan fans went wild over it!

Directed by Sujeeth, ‘They Call Him OG’ packs a stellar cast including Priyanka Mohan, Prakash Raj, and Sriya Reddy. Produced by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari—the team that delivered the global hit RRR—this film is shaping up as the biggest Telugu movie event of 2025. Expect high-octane action, mystery, and mass appeal, with stunning visuals by cinematographers Ravi K Chandran and Manoj Paramahamsa, plus sharp editing by Navin Nooli.

Originally planned for a September 27, 2024 release, ‘OG Pawan Kalyan movie’ faced delays but is now locked in for September 25, 2025. If the song and teaser are any indication, this Pawan Kalyan action extravaganza will keep audiences on the edge of their seats. Stay tuned for more updates on ‘They Call Him OG’!
