On December 5, Mumbai buzzed as superstar Prabhas flew to Japan for a special pre‑premiere screening of the long‑awaited film Baahubali: The Epic, which is set to debut there on December 12.
Baahubali: The Epic is a unique presentation that stitches the two parts of the saga—Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion—into one continuous, epic experience, letting audiences dive straight into the story without any breaks.
During the ceremony, Prabhas charmed everyone off‑screen with his sincere humility and friendly banter, winning the hearts of attendees.
After the film, he turned to the crowd with a warm smile and said:
“Thanks for the love. After Baahubali, Rajamouli Garu, Shobhu Garu, and Lakshmi Garu (his wife), so everybody was speaking about you so beautifully, such beautiful fans, emotional people. And for the last 10 years, I’ve been hearing about Japan so much. So finally, I see you all. Thank you.”
His heartfelt words resonated powerfully, underscoring the deep bond the film and its creators share with fans worldwide. He also expressed his joy at finally visiting Japan, a dream he has held for years: “It was my dream to come to Japan and meet you all in person. And I hope, like Lakshmi Garu, I also come every year and meet you.”
Prabhas’s trip and the release of Baahubali: The Epic in Japan mark a significant step toward bringing Indian cinema to a Japanese audience, celebrating the global impact of the epic. He’s already gearing up for a string of upcoming projects—The Rajasaab, Spirit, Fauzi, Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam, and Kalki 2898 AD Part 2—offering fans an exciting cinematic road ahead.
A quick refresher on the franchise: the franchise began with Baahubali: The Beginning (July 10, 2015) and concluded with Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (April 28, 2017), both starring Prabhas as Amarendra and Mahendra Baahubali.
