Prince Harry and Meghan Markle turned heads with a surprise outing at a star-studded benefit concert in California, just days after Harry’s heartfelt reunion with his father, King Charles III.
The couple joined the One805LIVE! event on Saturday at Kevin Costner’s scenic oceanside estate in Summerland, California. The concert raises funds for Santa Barbara County’s first responders, and it drew big names in music like Trisha Yearwood, Good Charlotte, and The Fray.
Meghan, 44, wasted no time hopping onstage to join her husband. She gave Harry a warm hug before stepping aside to watch him shine. The Duke of Sussex, 41, presented a special award to a first responder who’s been a key supporter for colleagues dealing with mental health challenges—fitting for the Invictus Games founder, who’s long championed those issues.
Meghan looked effortlessly chic in a navy blue halter dress paired with tan heels, while Harry kept it sharp in a dark blazer, shirt, and pants. The crowd also spotted celebrities like Rob Lowe, Oprah Winfrey, and Maria Shriver mingling among the guests.
This appearance marks the first time Harry and Meghan have stepped out publicly since his emotional visit with King Charles in the UK on September 10. Harry headed to Clarence House for a private tea that lasted nearly an hour, sources say.
According to Us Weekly, the meeting came after Harry sent a handwritten letter earlier this year, sharing his wish to reconnect with his estranged dad. Insiders described the chat as “super positive and very relaxed,” with the pair catching up on family life, the kids, and Charles’s ongoing health battle after his cancer diagnosis.
Tears flowed during the reunion, with hugs all around. “Harry started crying, and it was very emotional for both of them. They really missed each other,” one source told the outlet. It was their first in-person meetup since February 2024, when Charles first shared news of his cancer diagnosis, prompting Harry to rush to his side.
