Rachael Ray says she never vanished, she’s still rolling—she told Us Weekly at the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival’s Burger Bash.

“I’m not sure what they’re talking about,” Ray said. “I work my ass off all the time, and I never left.” She added that after ending her 17‑season daytime show in 2023, she’s shifting gears. Ray now stars in “Rachael Ray’s Meals in Minutes” and “Rachael Ray in Tuscany,” shows she produces with Free Food Studios, a new company partly owned by A+E Networks.

“Every season, we’re juggling the kitchen in two countries, and we’ve got four talents on board, plus a fifth joining next year,” Ray explained. She laughed when asked why people thought she’d gone missing. “We did a crap job promoting the shows, and that probably confused folks,” she said.

The 57‑year‑old said she’s “writing and producing around the clock” since she left her eponymous talk show. “All my projects—YouTube, Hulu—are streaming live or on demand. I keep content coming,” Ray told reporters. She also noted that series sometimes rotate between partners, so the content isn’t always on top of the feed.

Rumors about a disappearance surfaced after Ray’s recent health concerns. She reportedly slurred speech in a cooking video in May and again in October 2024. She later said she had fallen twice and didn’t give further details. Fans feared she might be ill. However, Ray appeared on the Drew Barrymore Show last Wednesday looking sharp, and she was active at the Burger Bash on October 17, hosting an event for her Staple Gin and posing with Brooklyn Beckham.

At the same event, Ray brushed off criticism, saying she’s still on the move. “I just keep working nonstop,” she repeated. She confirmed she remains very busy traveling between New York City and Tuscany, filming new projects and engaging with her audience online.

In short, Rachael Ray wants the world to know she didn’t disappear. She’s just busy creating new content, keeping her gin brand in the spotlight, and staying active in the kitchen—both in Italy and on the New York stage.
