Rajinikanth expresses gratitude for birthday wishes; calls his fans “the divine force” that sustains him!
Chennai, Dec 13 (LatestNewsX) – Superstar Rajinikanth expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone who sent well‑wishes on his 75th birthday, from political leaders and dignitaries to film colleagues, media reporters, and – most importantly – his fans, whom he described as “the divine force” that “sustained” him.
On his X account, the star thanked the Honourable Governor of Tamil Nadu, Thiru R.N. Ravi ji (@lokbhavan_tn), Chief Minister Thiru M.K. Stalin (@mkstalin), Leader of the Opposition Thiru Edappadi K. Palaniswami (@EPSTamilNadu), all other political party heads and dignitaries, friends from the film industry, media personnel, and “the divine force” that sustains me for the warm wishes extended on the occasion.
He also posted separate messages of appreciation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Governor R.N. Ravi, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh, Opposition Leader Edappadi Palaniswami, actor‑friend Kamal Haasan, as well as former Vice‑President M. Venkaiah Naidu. In the note to Narendra Modi, he wrote, “Thank you so much for your warm wishes and kind words, my dear Honourable Prime Minister @narendramodi ji.” To M. Venkaiah Naidu he added, “Thank you so much, my dear friend and most respected @MVenkaiahNaidu garu. I will always cherish your warm wishes.”
Earlier that day, Rajinikanth, accompanied by his family, performed prayers at the famed Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh.
The celebration also attracted a host of fellow stars from across India. Kamal Haasan sent a birthday greeting that read, “75 years of a remarkable life. 50 years of legendary cinema. Happy birthday, my friend @rajinikanth.” Malayalam icon Mohanlal posted, “Warmest birthday wishes to dear Rajinikanth Sir. As you celebrate 50 remarkable years in cinema, thank you for inspiring generations with your values, strength, and extraordinary spirit. May God bless you always with peace, good health, and boundless joy. @rajinikanth.” Director Karthik Subbaraj took to X to proclaim, “Happy 75 Thalaivaaa. Wishing you good Health and lots n lots of Happiness… Keep inspiring and Entertaining us for many many more years to come… Thanks for making our life beautiful. Love you Forever!! #Happy75Thalaivaa #HBDSuperstarRajinikanth.” Actor Harish Kalyan echoed the sentiment, sharing a childhood memory of watching “#Baasha” and calling Rajinikanth “the one & only Superstar.”
The star’s milestone birthday was marked on the set of the eagerly awaited action thriller “Jailer 2,” directed by Nelson. Sun Pictures posted a clip on X of Rajinikanth’s cake‑cutting ceremony, where he was greeted by the core team, including director Nelson, before sharing slices of cake with his colleagues.
