Bollywood actor Rajnish Duggall shared a funny, yet memorable Diwali story that still shows up as a scar behind his beard.
During a press chat in Mumbai on Oct. 20, the “Dangerous Ishq” star took us back to a childhood day full of cousins, friends and a bunch of runaway firecrackers. “We used to run everywhere,” he recalled. “One night, a cousin pushed me while we chased a sparkler. I slipped on the mat, landed on my chin, and kept running. My mom saw the split and we had to get stitches.” Duggall laughed that the cut‑scar hides behind his beard, making it a “fondest memory” he carries today.
The actor also spoke about what Diwali means to him. “It’s the festival of lights and family,” he said. “Even on a moonless night, we bring light into the dark. It reminds us that after a setback we will rise again.” Duggall added that his Punjabi family celebrates Diwali with brunch, lamps, flowers and a traditional Lakshmi puja at home and at the office.
He also highlighted his efforts to curb firecracker use. “I stop bursting crackers because the air quality needs checking,” he explained. “If I walk away from them, maybe a few people will follow. My little one, Teeyaa, wants to play with them, but we’re making it a strict no‑crack‑fire rule.”
The Mumbai‑based star shared this Diwali anecdote, reminding fans that a good story—even a scar—can bring light and laughter to our lives.
