Rakul Preet Singh Joins Ganga Aarti in Kashi: A Devotional Visit Amid Busy Shooting Schedule
Bollywood star Rakul Preet Singh made a spiritual stop in Kashi and took part in the famous Ganga Aarti on Monday. Fans spotted the Runway 34 actress fully absorbed in the rituals, showing her deep devotion to Mother Ganga.
Rakul kept it simple and stunning in a pink salwar kameez, with light makeup and her hair neatly tied in a bun. She prayed amid the lively sounds of bells, drums, and chanting mantras from priests and other devotees. A video captured the moment she received prasad from the priest after the puja, adding a personal touch to her Ganga Aarti experience.
This isn’t the first time a Bollywood celeb has visited Varanasi’s Dashashwamedh Ghat for the Ganga Aarti. Just last month in August, Sara Ali Khan joined the ceremony too. Ganga Seva Nidhi President Sushant Mishra and officials welcomed her warmly with an angavastra.
On the work front, Rakul Preet Singh has kicked off shooting for her upcoming project. Even during her busy days, she finds ways to unwind. She recently shared a fun video on social media, turning her green room into a karaoke studio. Rakul belted out songs from her mobile playlist, grooving to classics like Kajol’s "Awaara Bhanware" and Ahaan Pandey’s "Saiyaara." At one point, while getting her hair styled, she grabbed a hairbrush as a mic and sang her heart out.
Not long ago, Rakul also enjoyed a relaxing swim after wrapping up day one of her shoot. She posted a photo on her Instagram stories, posing in the pool with the caption: "Day 1 of shoot… Managed a swim post packup" followed by a red heart emoji. It’s clear she’s balancing work and relaxation like a pro.
Rakul hasn’t spilled details on this new movie yet, but she recently announced an exciting collaboration with ace designer Manish Malhotra. The designer shared a sneak peek on Instagram of their costume trial for their first film together. He posted a photo with Rakul and wrote: "@rakulpreetsingh Costume trial. First film together."
