Chennai – The makers of “Love Insurance Kompany” (LIK) have shifted the film’s debut to December 18 this year to avoid clashing with another high‑profile release starring Pradeep Ranganathan.

The romantic entertainer, directed by Vignesh Shivan and produced by actress‑producer Nayanthara, was originally set to hit screens on September 18. It was then moved to October 17 to coincide with the Deepavali holiday. But with Ranganathan’s upcoming film “Dude” scheduled for the same day, the studios decided a new date would give both movies a better chance at success.

Seven Screen Studio, the distributor, posted the change on its social media. “Like two trains on the same track,” the statement said, “a head‑on collision helps no one. With genuine concern for our beloved hero Pradeep Ranganathan and respect for the efforts behind both films, we’ve decided to reschedule LIK to December 18, 2025.”

The announcement also thanked Mythri Movies for their efforts to coordinate releases but noted that they could not find a shared slot. “We believe it’s wiser to let both films shine without overlap,” the studio added. “We wish Pradeep Ranganathan and the entire DUDE team a joyous Diwali and a grand success at the box office!”

Fans of Ranganathan will be excited to see him in a film that has a guaranteed success track record. His recent blockbuster “Dragon” solidified his reputation in Tamil cinema, and LIK adds another highly‑anticipated title to his roster.

The movie stars Ranganathan alongside Krithi Shetty, with S.J. Suryah and Gouri Kishen in supporting roles. Behind the scenes, the crew boasts top talent: Ravivarman in charge of cinematography, Anirudh on music, Pradeep Ragav editing, and stunt work by Peter Hein.

Director Vignesh Shivan, who announced in April that post‑production was underway, praised his team’s dedication. “The abundance of passion, love, honesty, and hard work built #LoveInsuranceKompany,” he said. “We didn’t compromise on any frame, and we’re proud to deliver a fresh, entertaining movie.”

Patience will pay off for the audience. With a carefully chosen release date and a star‑powered cast, “Love Insurance Kompany” is set to light up screens this December.
