CM Yadav says MP govt stands with farmers; ex-gratia distributed

Madhya Pradesh’s chief minister, Mohan Yadav, told farmers in Ujjain that the state will give compensation for crops damaged by recent floods and other natural disasters. He explained that the government is collecting reports from district collectors and then surveying each farm field before disbursing payments.

Yadav also announced that soybean growers will now receive extra help under the Bhavantar Scheme. The scheme will pay the price difference between what farmers actually get and the Minimum Support Price (MSP) set by the state.

“We are fully committed to supporting farmers in every situation,” Yadav said. “The BJP government will honour every promise we made to the people of Madhya Pradesh.”

During a development program in Unhel, Yadav laid the foundation stone for a 23‑km, two‑lane road from Ingoria to Unhel, costing ₹127.63 crore. He also unveiled several other projects worth more than ₹133 crore, including a new municipal council office, a road between Chidi and Rawdiya, and a power substation in Karnavad.

The chief minister noted that the government is also working on the Gambhir River Project, which farmers near the river will benefit from. He highlighted state‑wide celebrations of Govardhan Puja and said that the Lord Krishna Path project will start on 15 October in Orchha, with work worth over ₹100 crore.

Yadav praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for driving development across the state. He added that farmers can also receive up to ₹10 lakh in subsidies under the Gopalan Gaushala Yojana for keeping 25 indigenous cows, and that the PM Samman Nidhi scheme will continue to support families.

In short, the Madhya Pradesh government is prioritising farmer support, road building, power supply, and cultural events, while keeping the state’s development plans on track.
