The Instagram post comes after Rishab has been giving audiences a peek at the making of the movie. Just a few days earlier, on October 13, he posted video footage from the climax shoot, noting he had been working with a swollen leg and an exhausted body. “It was a tough shoot, but now millions are watching and admiring the climax. This was only possible because of the divine energy we believe in,” he said, adding a heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported the project.
Kantara: Chapter 1 is a prequel to the 2022 hit film Kantara, which followed the clash between a Kambala champion and an upright forest officer over sacred land and ancestral legacy. The new installment deepens the mythology of Bhuta Kola – a traditional spirit‑worship ritual native to coastal Karnataka – and explores the roots of the conflict that came to life in the first film.
