Mumbai, Oct 19 – Kannada star Rishab Shetty marked the box‑office triumph of Kantara – Chapter 1 with a series of spiritual stops across India.
After the film’s release in theatres, Shetty travelled to the Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy Temple in Rameswaram. On the social‑media platform X, where he recently switched from Twitter, he wrote:
“At the holy shrine of Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy Temple, Rameswaram, I sought divine blessings and thanked the endless love for #BlockbusterKantara. Celebrate the divine energy of #KantaraChapter1, running successfully in cinemas near you!”
Earlier in the week, the actor paused in Varanasi for the dramatic Ganga Aarti. He shared a clip of the ghats, captioned:
“The sacred ghats of Kashi echoed with chants and devotion. Offered prayers at the Ganga Aarti, a moment of gratitude for the divine journey and phenomenal success of #BlockbusterKantara – #KantaraChapter1 running successfully in cinemas near you.”
Shetty also visited three more temples: the Mundeshwari Temple in Bihar, the Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysuru, and the Srikanteshwara Temple in Nanjangud.
While the film steered to the top of the box office, the actor gave special thanks to his wife, Pragati. In an exclusive interview, he praised her for juggling a double role as a costume designer and house manager. Pragati worked on the look of Kantara – Chapter 1 while still raising their children and settling into their new home in Kondapur.
Rishab highlighted the added tension she faced when he shot risky scenes, noting how she balanced on‑set design demands with family duties. “She has to look after the kids, their schooling, manage home life, and yet deliver perfect textures and colors for the camera,” he said. “She did it to perfection.”
